Class 2 Visit to St Andrew's Church

The children in Class 2 have been finding out about Christian places of worship as part of the RE curriculum this term.  On Monday 29th April we dodged the showers and walked over to the church.

We identified features of the outside of the building and then proceeded inside to see what we could find. 

We spent some time sitting quietly and using our senses to take in the atmosphere of the church and then looked around at the altar, the font, the pulpit, the lectern, the hymn boards and the pews.

The children wrote questions about what they saw and drew pictures to remind them of what they had seen.
