Letter from Governors

Dear Parents
The Governors are delighted to be able to inform you of the permanent appointment of Mrs Newbury as Headteacher of Cleeve Prior First School. Her appointment is effective from 1st September 2007. The effect of this appointment now enables the Governors to appoint a full time and permanent member of staff. We have received a positive response to our advertisement and interviews have taken place this week. As a result we are pleased to tell you that Mr Wilderspin has been appointed as from 1st January 2008.
Mrs Gilson has been with us for almost half a term and has fitted in extremely well. We are delighted with her appointment.
Meanwhile, unfortunately, Miss Thornley has been unwell for almost three weeks and may be absent for some little time. Fortunately Mr Wilderspin has been able to provide cover for Miss Thornley on a supply basis and will continue to do so during her absence. We have the advantage of his being known to most children following his work with us last term. We look forward to Miss Thornley?s return.
Should you require additional information or explanation both the Head and the Governors will be happy to discuss any issues by prior appointment.
